The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hi Folks!!

Hope everyone out there had an awesome Summer!!

Personally, I can say mine was awesome!!

I asked the love of my life to marry me and she said YES!!! Oh yeah... and Comic-Con was fun too!!

So I know some people have asked when my next convention will be, so for all those interested, I will have a table at the Long Beach Comic Con  Artist Alley!!  The show takes place on the weekend of November 3rd & 4th, 2012.

I have yet to find out my table assignment, but once I do, I will definitely let you all know here!!

I will have everything I had at SDCC as well as some mystery bags.  I also have Artist Proof card blanks for commissions.  I have 12 from my participation with Upper Deck's  Marvel Premiere set and 12 from my participation with Cryptozoic's Walking Dead Comic series trading card set.

The Marvel Premier AP cards are a really nice thick stock similar to the cards that will be going in the packs, which, by the way are selling for approx $200 a pack...YES, you read correctly $200 A PACK!!

They are all blank for now, but will need to be drawn on soon.  If you want one with a particular character drawn, now's the time before I have to pick a character myself!!  There are particular guidelines that go with what I can draw on the cards, so contact me and we can go over them if you are interested!!  I am selling these cards for $105.  Each card will be full color pen/ink and marker.

I also have some blanks coming to me for Cryptozoic's DC New 52 card series.  I can't remember how many AP cards I get for that set, so I will have to update that later!

Starting in early October, I will also open up a commission list for hand drawn marker colored commissions to pick up at the Long Beach show!!

what does ap card mean?

AP= Artist Proof cards... Special blank cards that all artists that participate in sketch card series receive as part of their compensation. They are given to us to sell or keep.

I usually try to keep mine blank so that whoever wants to buy mine can request what character they want me to draw, making it more personal.

Glad to see you are going to more Cons. you really need to at least make it up to the Northwest. Portland just started a con this year, Rose City Comic Con. and of course, Seattles Emerald City Con.
